D_2 recorded their latest album named “6” in Los Angeles with producer Lanny Cordola. Lanny has worked with many great musicians in the past such as Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Perry, Toto, Beck and the Rolling Stones. The album “6” was recorded in some of the most famous studios in California such as: “Total access” (Guns”n”Roses”, “No doubt”, Sublime), “Umbrella”, “Drac studios”(Matt Sorum, “Velvet Revolver”), and “Rebel yell” (Tracy Chapman, Supertramp). This album is sponsored by Coca Cola, the general partner for D_2 in Bulgaria. D_2 performed at the Eurosonic festival in Groningen in January 2007. The song “In the beginning”, from the album “6” is featured in the Eurosonic official compilation CD for 2007. The band’s song “Moonshadows”, from the album “6” is included in the official compilation for 2007 on EuropaVox festival, France. In the summer on 2007, D_2 performed at the B’estival, Romania, with Headliners Marilyn Manson, Pink and Kasabian.

D_2 was formed in 1999 by Dimitar Karnev – guitar, Krasimir Todorov – keyboards, Alexander Obretenov – bass, Yavor Alexandrov – drums, Desislav Semerdzhiev – percussion. Deyan Kamenov replaced the band’s original vocalist in 2006 and brought a new look, sound and energy to D_2.

The band’s previous releases are the two albums “Ledeno momiche” (Ice Girl) (2000) and “2002” (2002). D_2’s first recorded song “I can’t stop loving you” – spearheaded the popularity of the band’s first release by holding a position in the “Bulgarian Top 100” chart several weeks. The third song of D_2 from “Ledeno momiche” (Ice Girl) album – “Two traces” dominated the “Bulgarian top 100” for an incredible 7 weeks. D_2 won the award for “Best Debut” received a nomination for “Band of the year” at the Annual Musical Awards of MM-television channel in 1999.

In the year 2000, D_2 made a clean sweep at the award ceremonies in the country winning “Band of the year” and “Album of the year” awards at the Annual Musical Awards, the “Band of the year” award at the Annual Awards of “Melo TV mania”, and “Ledeno Momiche” (Ice Girl) won the “Hit of the year” award at the Annual “Forte” Awards of the Bulgarian National Television. D_2 won “Band of the year” award and “Best live performing band” at the Annual Musical Awards of BG Radio and “Forte” for 2001. The song “You and I” – a product of the cooperation between D_2 and BG Radio stayed 5 weeks as number 1 in the “Bulgarian top 100”.
